After deciding against watermarks for fear of diminishing the quality of their images, Hawaiian Art Network turned to PicScout and ImageTracker. “We knew we needed some kind of technology to protect our artists. We discovered PicScout, which offered even more than we had hoped,” Carner said. “There is no other mechanism like PicScout…that finds infringements and provides us with the information we need to collect appropriate license fees, while creating opportunities for us to convert usages to legitimate licensed use.”
Between November 2009, when they started using ImageTracker, and July 2010, Hawaiian Art Network found ImageTracker so valuable that they expanded their tracking beyond the U.S. to include Germany, France, and the U.K
